The multidisciplinary team is further expanding and comprises of Cardiologists, Cardiac MR and Cardiac PET Physicists, Medicinal Chemists, Molecular and Experimental Cardiology scientists alongside a highly skilled group of allied technical staff. The positions are ideally suited for medical doctors who already have some experience at SpR/StR level in Cardiology. The 3 year posts will focus on the effects of nitrate on cardiac and skeletal muscle efficiency and the 1 year post on the haemodynamic optimisation of CRT. There may be an opportunity to submit a clinical PhD with the University of Aberdeen for the 3 year post.
